Peasant union head displeased with agriculture reform process

Although agriculture was announced a priority field, the instructions given by the President are not fulfilled properly, according to head of the Agrarian-Peasant Union of Armenia.

“If the instructions were fulfilled properly and in time, the situation would be much better,” Hrachya Berberyan said, stressing a necessity to form a commission which would “prevent misinformation from reaching the President.”

Commenting of staff reshuffle, Berberyan said the process should “ensure progress but not regress.” “Incompetent people must never serve as Deputy Ministers,” he said.

Meanwhile, the union head hailed the seed growing program and agricultural loan backing.
