Armenia to apply new methods of rodent control

Head of the Agrarian-Peasant Union of Armenia (APUA) Hrachya Berberyan believes the rodent control is inefficient in Armenia, but the situation may change.

According to him, APUA has imported and tested a new product – DUO-RAT produced in Croatia and France. The product smells of vanilla and does not frighten rodent, which suffer from fluid loss in two hours after its intake. 1ha of land will require 1kg of the product, which costs $5-7.

Berberyan is also concerned over the possible invasion of grasshoppers that is indicated by FAO, as well as cost of agricultural chemicals, which makes AMD 7,100 instead of the promised 6,500 per bag.
