18,245 carats of diamond were produced in Armenia in January-April 2011 against 20,633 carats during the same period in 2010.

According to the National Statistical Service, 105.8kg of jewelry was produced during the reporting period against 153.8kg in 2010. The slump in the industry was 31.2% compared to January-April 2010.
