Armenian microblog Armenix has gone down.

As one of the founders and administrators, Vardan Papikyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the failure occurred because the server hung due to overloading of the hosting.

“It’s already for the second time that we experience such a problem. We work to solve it and hope to fix it till the end of the day. When our users are very active the server is overloaded,” he said.

According to Papikyan, during a year of its existence, Armenix has more than 1400 users.

“We have over 1500 daily posts. Also many users do automatic transfer from their Twitter tweets to Armenix which also overloads the operation. We will disable that function unless we change the server,” he said.
