Expert: agreement on Karabakh issue may be signed at Kazan-hosted meeting

The deputy director of Caucasus Institute, political expert Sergey Minasyan believes the parties may reach an agreement on Karabakh issue during Kazan-hosted meeting between Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani presidents.As the expert told a news conference in Yerevan, the agreement will regulate 2 issues: decrease of tension on the line of contact and alteration of status quo.

According to Mr. Minasyan, Baku won’t be initiating provocations on the line of contact, instead attempting to influence international community into increasing pressure on Armenia. The expert did not preclude for the agreement to promote Armenia-Turkey ties.
