Armenia’s national minorities demand separate Ombudsman

National minorities of Armenia must have a separate Ombudsman to defend their rights, according to the head of the Jewish community of Armenia.

At news conference in Armenia Rimma Varzhapetyan listed military conscription and passport-related problems among the issues national minorities face.

The chairman of Midia-Shangal Yezidi national union Hamo Sharoyan in turn, noted that time’s come for Armenia’s national minorities to have a parliamentary representative.
