On June 22-26, Yerevan will host the 5th Cybersport Championship, a qualifier for Korea-hosted World Cyber Games 2011.

As Edgar Sahakyan, National Professional Cybersport League committee chairman told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, FIFA 2011, StarCraft 2 were selected as official disciplines for WSG 2011 contestants; Counter-Strike 1.6, WarCraft 3 Dota were chosen as unofficial ones.

Armenia will host Fan Art and Touch Typing contests within the framework of 5th Cybersport Championship, with a prize fund of AMD 3600000. The chapnionship winners wil be given a chance to participate in WSG 2011.

200 contestants are expected at 5th Cybersport Championship this year, Sahakyan said.

WCG 2011 will be sponsored by Samsung Electronics Co; ArmenTel, WCG 2011Armenian qualifier sponsor, will be responsible for internet broadcast of the games.
