Member of Sardarapat Movement, filmmaker Tigran Khzmalyan predicts the end of the third Republic of Armenia and formation of the fourth.

“The present Republic of Armenia is incapable to resolve the problems the country faces. The time is coming when the caterpillar of the third republic will grow into a butterfly with two wings, one of which will be the Diaspora.

Asked how the fourth republic will be formed, Khzmalyan said it will depend on the authorities. “Authoritarian democracy has exhausted itself,” he said.

Commenting on his visit to the United States together with another Sardarapat Movement member Garegin Chugakzyan, Khzmalyan said they had meetings with representatives of the State Department, Carnegie Foundation as well as Armenian community of Los Angeles.
