Orange Armenia to provide free wi-fi internet in 5 Yerevan buses

Starting from June 16, free wi-fi internet will be available in 5 buses in Yerevan, in the framework of a pilot project launched by Yerevan Mayor’s Office and Orange Armenia.

The buses on mainly students itineraries are now equipped with Orange MyFi 3G/wi-fi modems which create a mobile wi-fi zone and allow to connect simultaneously 5 devices: smartphones, netbooks, tablets etc.

Bruno Duthoit, Orange Armenia CEO, commented: “This is an interesting and important project for us, as it will allow us to test our MyFi service and its possibilities in different areas of the city, and from the other hand it will make our services more accessible. I hope that Yerevan inhabitants will like this opportunity of mobile wi-fi and they will profit from the time spent in the bus to make it more interesting. If the pilot project is successful, we will think about wi-fi-izing more buses.”
