Democratic Party of Armenia (DPA) and Social Democrat Hunchakian Party will join left-wing forces in oncoming parliamentary elections, according to DPA leader Aram Sargsyan.
As he told a news conference in Yerevan, joining left-wing forces will bring political field in Armenia to balance. “Currently political field in Armenia is strictly separated: right-of-center forces are at power; the opposition is also comprised by right-wing forces. By joining left-wing forces we aim to introduce an alternative political course,” DPA leader said.
Sargsyan expressed readiness to cooperate with all left-wing forces, including ARF Dashnaktsutyun, Communist Party, etc. As DPA leader noted, the union will convene a cession in early July, to specify plans of further actions.
