SERIOUS WORK IS TO BE DONE ON REFORMATION OF THE POLITICAL FIELD, VICE-SPEAKER OF THE ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT SAID

It's very important that the decision to increase the number of seats, elected by proportional system, passed last week by the National Assembly of Armenia, was a result of political agreement between the parties, said vice-speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Tigran Torosian in the interview to Mediamax.
Mr. Torosian said that this gives grounds to hope that the political forces, represented in the parliament, will further display common approach to the key problems.
At the same time serious work is to be done on reformation of the political field of the country, the vice-speaker said. In particular, the parliament must continue to discuss amendments to the Electoral Code, pass the law on political parties and discuss the package of constitutional amendments. -0-
