Armenian community activities to be revived in South Ossetia

Work towards resumption of Armenian community activities in South Ossetia, ceased after 2008 war, will be launched soon.

As the head of the community Esma Abayeva-Kulijanova reported, very few Armenian families were left in the region after the war. “A census will be organized to obtain specific data. We’re sorry the community no longer exists. But we’re not losing hope to restore Armenian community in South Ossetia,” RES Ossetian information agency quoted her as saying.
