War between U.S. and Iran unlikely now, expert says

Director of Caucasus Institute Alexander Iskandaryan thinks there are no grounds for western coalition headed by United States to start a war against Iran immediately.

“War probability now stands to zero,” Iskandaryan told a press conference in Yerevan.

He said that U.S. and west now have a lot of problems besides Iran.

He also disagreed with the opinion that the U.S. needs Karabakh conflict resolution to further use NKR and Armenia’s territory for blowing Iran. “The U.S. bases surround Iran almost from all sides. There are U.S. forces in Iraq, Afghanistan, Persian Gulf countries and Pakistan. So, in this context, Armenia presents no interest,” he said.
