Armenia works towards formation of oncology centre

Armenia is working towards formation of oncology centre, with Armenia-Belgium agreements for construction of isotope accelerator, essential in the center's activities, signed.As Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan stated at 3rd international medical conference in Armenia, a certain amount of financing has already been obtained, yet the total of USD 50 million in investments is required to complete the center's formation.

“Armenia has a significant intellectual potential in physics which will make isotope accelerator operating possible,” the Minister stressed.

As he further noted, Armenian healthcare offers services widely used both locally and by Diaspora representatives, which proves Armenian doctors' qualifications to meet international standards.
