Armenia, Poland initial agreement on international automobile transport

The second joint sitting of the Armenian-Polish Inter-governmental Committee for economic cooperation was held in Warsaw, Poland on July 7-8.

The previous sitting of the Committee took place on July 13, 2010 in Yerevan.

Co-chairs of the Inter-governmental Committee are Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Economy Ara Petrosyan and Poland’s Deputy Minister of Economy Marcin Korolec.

As the press service of the Armenian Economy Ministry reports, in the course of the joint sitting the parties discussed perspectives and opportunities of Armenia-Poland cooperation in trade-economic, financial, investment, agrarian, medical and customs fields, as well as problems of deepening ties between provinces of Armenia and Poland.

During the sitting, a peculiar attention was drawn to cooperation programs in EU, particularly, in promoting implementation of Eastern Partnership Initiative programs.

A protocol was signed at the end of the second joint sitting of Armenian-Polish Inter-governmental Committee. An agreement on international car transport was initialed between the governments of Armenia and Poland as well.

Within the framework of the sitting Armenian-Polish economic forum was held, during which representatives of Polish business circles were presented investment opportunities and business-environment in Armenia. Armenian businessmen who launched activity in Poland participated in the forum.
