Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu in a meeting in Tehran on Sunday, July 10 night discussed the latest developments in the regional countries, specially Syria.

According to Fars News Agency, speaking to reporters at a joint press conference with his visiting Turkish counterpart late Sunday, Salehi said, "We discussed regional developments and Syria's political conditions in our bilateral talks."

"We emphasized that the regional developments will influence the whole world," he added.

Saying that more steps should be taken to accelerate the bolstering of Tehran-Ankara relations in various grounds, Salehi pointed out that the volume of trade transactions between Tehran and Ankara is currently $14 billion which will reach $30 billion within next few years.
