Washington, Moscow know there is no recipe for Karabakh settlement - expert

Both Washington and Moscow understand there is no recipe for the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, an Armenian expert said.

“The OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries long ago assumed prevention of new hostilities as a top mission priority. Anyway, if a document on the basic principles is signed in the near future, its implementation will take long,” deputy director of Caucasus Institute Sergey Minasyan told a news conference in Yerevan.

“All know who is to blame for the failure of Kazan meeting,” he emphasized, adding that the Karabakh conflict resolution has become a personal matter for Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, whose image is being damaged by similar flops.

The June 24 meeting between the Presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia ended without result, as Baku wanted to introduce 10 new amendments to the basic principles.
