Baku must follow Sudan government’s suit, recognize NKR independence, expert says

The government of Sudan, which acknowledged South Sudan’s independence left Azerbaijan behind in political development, said an advisor to NKR Foreign Minister.

In an interview to Analitika.at.ua, political analyst Ruben Zargaryan drew parallels between the people of Artsakh and South Sudan, which were subjected to systematic genocide by Azerbaijan and Sudan respectively, beat the aggressors and announced a referendum to defend their rights for worthy development as an independent republic.

“However, in contrast to Baku administration, Sudan Government recognized the malignancy of its aggressive policy, showed responsibility and refrained from hindering South Sudan on its way to independence,” the expert said.

According to Zargaryan, there’s no doubt as to the responsibility of Azerbaijan for starting a war in Karabakh and the nature of criminal aggression against NKR people. “It’s time Azerbaijan played by the rules, by recognizing the independence of a self-dependent and successful Republic of Nagorno Karabakh,” the expert stressed.
