On July 15-29, Naregatsi Art Union will host a sculpture symposium, with 22 Armenian and Italian sculptors participating.
Within the framework of the event, the masters will create sculptures out of Shushi limestone and dedicate them to the city.
As Roberto Giovanelli, a professor at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, told a news conference in Yerevan, such events will promote international cooperation in art sector.
“Armenia is a very hospitable and beautiful country. I'm confident that a Shushi-hosted symposium will result in strengthened cooperation between our countries,” Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence professor Luciano Preti said.
On the sidelines of the event, the Italian art historians visited the Genocide Memorial in Artsakh to commemorate innocent victims of 1915 massacres.
