Azerbaijan concerned over Russian forces’ deployment in Armenia

Azerbaijan is concerned over the presence of Russian forces in Armenia, according to Azerbaijani President’s personal representative for Karabakh settlement, Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov.

As he noted, Russia must change the concept of its presence in South Caucasus from militaristic to economic.

“Unfortunately, Russia deems it necessary to deploy its military forces on the territory of Armenia, there being decreasingly less reason for it. It’s time the military presence was substituted by the economic one,” Eco of Moscow newspaper cited Azimov as saying.
