Nora Armani to make a film in Armenia next year

Armenian-born American actress Nora Armani is presently working on her two films, one of which she plans to make in Armenia next summer.

Armani withheld the details as the film is still under way, however she said that she is starring in the film and, possibly, will be the producer of the film. Gnel Nalbandyan will be the screenwriter. The film will be about a foreigner who came to an Armenian village where he does not like anything, but at the end of the film he becomes attached to it and its habitants.

The actress also works over a book telling about her family, particularly, grandmother and three sisters.

Armani played one of the leads in the feature film "Snowed in LA". She said that Armenia has a huge potential in the sphere of film production and it is proved by the Golden Apricot festival. She hoped that the 10th festival will be the largest. For development of art, a law should be adopted in Armenia according to which any new buildings will envisage a small territory for a culture office, Armani said.
