About 200000 households in Armenia are connected to the internet, according to Internet-Society NGO vice-chairman.

At July 26 news conference in Yerevan, Grigor Sahyan assessed the figure cited as satisfactory. As he noted, to calculate the total number of internet users, the organisation used Armentel CJSC-published official data, as well as circle.am statistics, which indicates Armentel connection users (approx. 100000) as 50% of all internet users in Armenia.

According to data provided by Mr. Sahyan, 18% of mobile internet users in Armenia use Armentel services, 18% -Orange; 12%-VivaCell.
