ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER LEFT FOR STRASBOURG TODAY
09.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian left today for Strasbourg, Ara Papian, the Spokesman of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told Mediamax.
Today, the Armenian Foreign Minister will take part in the session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. The official decision on Armenia's full membership to the Council of Europe has to be made at the session.
On November 8, after a two day debates, the representatives of the Committee of CE Ministers have come to consensus on simultaneous membership of Armenia and Azerbaijan to the Council of Europe.
It is expected that the solemn ceremony of Armenia's entry to the Council of Europe will be held in January of 2001.--0--
