Azerbaijan has addressed yet another one of its innumerable protest letters to UN Secretary General, complaining about statements and actions of the Armenian side.

This time, the letter was authored by Tofig Musayev, charge d'affaires of Azerbaijan to UN.

Yet anther time, the Azeri message distorts the facts, speaking about Armenia’s increased military rhetoric, although it’s Azeri Presidnet Aliyev who’s been constantly speaking of the soon-to- be-launched war against Armenians, and “liberation” of originally Armenian land, Nagorno Karabakh.

Similar to previous letters, this one also suggests “Armenia’s attempts to discredit current settlement process,” failing to mention Baku was to blame for the failure of Kazan-hosted Armenia-Russia-Azerbaijan presidential meeting, with Aliyev advancing 10 new demands at the last moment.

One is left wondering about the true cause of showering UN Secretary General with letters. Possibly, Baku hopes to advance some more resolutions on Karabakh at UN, in addition to those adopted, although of purely recommendational character. It’s also possible that the letters pursue an aim of altering Karabakh settlement talks’ format from OSCE MG to UN, which Baku never stops suggesting.

The question remains, is Mr. Ban Ki-moon willingly reading all the Azeri letters he’s recenlty been showered with?
