Vic Darchinyan works hard at first professional clash in motherland

On September 3, IBO bantamweight champion, the Armenian-born boxer Vic Darchinyan will defend his title in a combat against Namibian boxer Paulus Ambunda at Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex in Yerevan.

The training sessions are held in Tsakhkadzor, where Darchinyan told PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that trainings and sparrings are successful.

“Azat Hovhannisyan and Gabriel Tolmajyan train with me. They are also combating on Sept. 3. One month left till the combat. In general, I am pleased with my training,” Darchinyan said.

With just 2 weeks before the clash, Darchinyan and his team will continue training in Yerevan. Armenian boxer knows few about Ambunda but he will study him, his fighting style in the near future.

Soon Armenian boxing fans will enjoy 5 professional clashes at Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex in Yerevan. Besides Darchinyan-Ambunda fights boxers from Africa and New Zealand will combat for Champion’s title.

“It’s been my wish to have a combat in my motherland and, I’ll offer my fans a chance to enjoy the match,” Darchinyan said.
