Armenia’s Greco-Roman wrestlers in preparation for World Championships

Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling squad completed team practice session in Yerevan to start training with personal coaches.

As the head coach of Armenian team, Olympic Champion Levon Julfalakyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, “we tried hard for the wrestlers to gain a good physical shape.” “Every stage of the training is equally important. Right now, we aim to focus on technical components of the training, to perfect fighting strategy, speed and functional qualities for our sportsmen to appear at their best at the World Championships,” he said.

“On August 11, Armenian wrestlers will attend a team practice session in Belarus, along with Belarusian, Georgian and French teams. On August 25, we will be back in Yerevan and will then leave for Istanbul to participate in FILA Wrestling World Championships to launch on September 11,” the coach said.
