SCR head thanks Georgian colleagues for professionalism in removal of railway accident aftermath

Director General of South Caucasus Railways (SCR) Shevket Shaydulin addressed today a letter to Director General of Georgian Railway Irakli Ezugbaia.

As the SCR press office reports, in the letter Shaydulin expressed his gratitude to Georgian side for high professionalism and efficiency, demonstrated during the accident with liner train on July 30 near Georgian Gori city, who worked within two days to remove aftermath of the accident and restore railway communication.

“Operative work of your staff allowed to continue the trip and ensure safety of passengers of Armenia brand train, who were arriving to Yerevan after recreation in Georgia” Shaydulin’s letter runs.

12 carriages of passenger train turned over on July 30, 30 km from Tbilisi. No death was recorded as a result of the accident.
