Iran, Russia boost transportation cooperation

Iranian and Russian officials in a meeting in Moscow inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on boosting transportation cooperation between the two countries, and underlined utilizing all capacities and potentials of both countries in this field.

The fifth meeting of joint Iran-Russia workgroup was hosted by Russian Transportation Ministry.

Russian Deputy Transport Minister, Alexander Davidenko emphasized on making use from all existing transportation capacities. He expressed hope that completion of North-East international transportation route which is one of the most important projects of the country will be implemented in good manner at the presence of officials of both countries, Fars News Agency reported.

The North-South international route connects Iran, India, Russia and northern European countries.
