Vardan Mnatsakanyan to fight at World Ultimate Full Contact championship

Armenian kick-boxer Vardan Mnatsakanyan has signed a contract to fight for WUFC title at 17th WUFC World Ultimate Full Contact championship’s К-1 tournament due August 27 in Viseu, Portugal.

As Mnatskanyan told a PanARMENIAN reporter, at the tournament, he’ll combat with Portugal’s Luis Neves, Russia’s Rustam Abakarov and Dagestan’s Magomed Gadzhiev in 63 kg weight category, with the first rival to be determined after the weigh in.

Also, Mnatsakanyan will be facing off against Portugal’s Ruben Almeida in a kickboxing match on August 13, 2011 at the Palau D Esports De Benidorm in Spain.

On November 12, 2011 Mnatsakanyan will face Spain’s Pedro Felipe in a clash for WFCA kickboxing title. Mnatsakanyan did not preclude for one of his matches to be held in Armenia.

Vardan Mnatsakanyan began his sports training and career in the International Fudokan Karate-Do. In 1996 he joined International Full Contact Karate, King Boxing, Jit Kon Do, taking part in different championship tournaments. In 2006 left for Paris, to take part in Aykido Seminar.One month later he traveled to Valencia (Spain), where he began to teach Kick Boxing, as well as won the Valencia Community’s Kick Boxing champion title. Vardan holds a second degree black belt. Since 1996, Vardan has taken part in 37 championships in different forms of combat sports; he won 33 of the matches, 18 of them by KO.
