Armenia's economic ties with Iran, Turkey pester Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani Popular Front Party (APPF) urged Azeri authorities to convene a session of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) to discuss Armenia-Iran and Armenia-Turkey economic ties.

Today's APPF session focused on social and political situation in the country, with Karabakh issue on priority agenda. According to APPF press service, in this context, the Party characterized OSCE Minsk Group activities as ineffective.

APPF noted the pressure of regional countries with the majority of Muslim population on Armenia as the way out of the standstill, at the same time noting that Russia is interested in preservation of a status quo in the region. As the Party administration remarked, extension of Armenia's economic ties with Turkey and Iran stimulate Armenia’s aggressive policy, according to Vesti.Az.
