Heritage party doesn’t expect changes in Armenian political life

Nothing extraordinary will take place in Armenia’s political life in the near future, Heritage opposition party member said.

“The country is moving towards regular elections, if no agreements emerge,” Armen Martirosyan told a news conference in Yerevan on August 18.

As to the number of the party’s seats in the next parliament, Martirosyan said it will be much more.

He refrained from commenting on the ongoing dialogue between the authorities and the Armenian National Congress. Asked whether Heritage may join the talks, Martirosyan noted: “We had a number of proposals but the party pursues its own political line.”
