Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry “investigates information” published in Nezavisimaya Gazeta Russian newspaper, which specifies Nagorno Karabakh Rebublic as an independent state, 1news.az reported citing the spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Elman Abdullayev.

“The Foreign Ministry instructed Moscow-based Azerbaijani Embassy to Russia to inform the newspaper editorial staff on the resentment caused by the publication,” Abdullayev said.

On September 1, the newspaper released an interview with Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan.

As Azeri Foreign Ministry claims, beside reference to NKR as an independent state, the interview contains a number of false facts.
