Iran lodges complaint against Russia in International Court

Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi declared that Iran lodged a complaint against Russia in the International Court, according to Mehr news agency.

Vahidi said the ground for complaint is the failure of the Russian side to fulfill the contract to supply anti-aircraft missile systems S-300.

"Legally, we believe that the shipment of S-300 is not included in the UN Security Council resolution,” said Iranian ambassador to Moscow Mahmoud Reza Sajjadi.” “We have submitted a complaint so that the court's decision would facilitate Russia’s supplies."

In June 2010, the UNSC adopted Resolution 1929, imposing restrictions on the supply of conventional weapons, including missiles and missile systems, tanks, attack helicopters, warplanes and ships to Iran.
