HP unveils 3D scanner

HP has announced a range of products and services, including a new multifunction device capable of scanning 3D objects, at its annual global Imaging and Printing Conference, Techtree reports.

The new entrants are TopShot LaserJet Pro M275, HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw, and few business printing/scanning solutions. Moreover, the much awaited ENVY (All-in-One) will finally hit the market.

The M275 is more than a traditional multifunction device. Apart from the usual scanning functionality, it's capable of capturing 3D objects as well. Its TopShot scanning feature captures six separate images of any object and converts it into a seamless image.

HP's ePrint technology enables wireless printing. This means that Symbian, iOS, and Android users will be able to print images directly from their mobile phones.

Being a web-connected printer ENVY 110 sports a 3.4" touchscreen that supports gestures for printing, scanning, and browsing the web. This device is expected to retail by the end of next month, and is set to cost around $300.

The LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw is HP's smallest ePrint-enabled colour multifunction laser printer targeted at small businesses. It retails at $350.

The company also unveiled its web-enabled monochrome printers namely LaserJet Enterprise 600, M601, M602 and M603.
