Armenian parliament speaker advises caution in view of Wikileaks reports

Armenian politicians should practice caution, keeping WikiLeaks cables in mind, Armenian National Assembly speaker said.As Hovik Abrahamyan stated during a parliamentary briefing, “as clearly demonstrated by recent publications, any political comment, official or not, may be made public.”

Abrahamyan further denied meeting the deputy head of U.S. diplomatic mission in Armenia Joseph Pennington, as well as slamming Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. “Regardless of WikiLeaks allegations, no such meeting ever happened, nor was the Prime Minister discussed. I have no claim to ministerial seat, being quite satisfied with my position,” the parliament speaker stressed.
