Heritage leader says party will retain seats in parliament

Heritage party leader is confident that the party retain its positions in the new parliament, winning even more seats than before.

As Raffi Hovannisian told a news conference in Yerevan, “Heritage election campaign will kick off in the near future, with visits to Armenian provinces and meetings with local population planned. Still, parliamentary race is not the main goal on the party’s agenda.”

Commenting on Heritage-initiated boycott of parliamentary sittings, the party leader said, “there has to be a political force in Armenia to question the constitutionality of the coalition memorandum.”

“While communicating with public, we realized the necessity of returning to the parliament to continue our work, as Heritage parliamentary group members have to come up to people’s expectations,” Hovannisian concluded.
