Electronic Sports World Cup qualifiers to kick off in Yerevan

On September 24, Electronic Sports World Cup - The Video Game Show qualifiers will kick off in Yerevan, courtesy of ArmenTel mobile provider and EDGE Gaming company.

Nexus Game Club will host the 1st round of qualifiers on September 24-25, with participants to compete in FIFA 11, PES 2011 и Call Of Duty, MW2 PlayStation games.

The 2nd round, due October 1-2, will focus on Counter-Strike 1.6. computer game contest.

Applications are to be submitted at EDGE Gaming website; participation fee is set at AMD 5000.

As EDGE Gaming PR manager told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, participation of 120-150 contestants is expected with 2 winners to gain entrance to Paris –hosted Electronic Sports World Cup.

The Electronic Sports World Cup is a worldwide competition of video games, starting locally with national qualifying, to end with a World Final gathering all the cyberathletes and designed as a live show. The ESWC has been created by a French team, and has grown as an independent and innovative project, representing gamers and online communities.
