Azerbaijan has been shocked over military parade in Yerevan dedicated to the 20th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Armenia, Armenian military expert said.

As Artsrun Hovhannisyan told a news conference in Armenia, negative post-parade assessments by Baku are meant to mislead their own people by distracting them from Azerbaijan’s failures.

“Despite increasing its military budget by 5-6 times since 2000, at present, Azerbaijan has no advantages; moreover, Yerevan has left Baku behind in many defense-related aspects,” the expert said.

“Mere opinions of foreign experts on military balance in the region are sending Baku into a shock,” Hovhannisyan said.
