3 fan zones to be set up for EURO 2012 in Lviv

Three fan zones will be set up for Euro 2012 in Lviv, Ukraine, the head of Lviv City State Administration said.“One of the fan zones, with 35,000 seat capacity, will stretch from the Opera Theatre to the Shevchenko monument. We also plan to build a fan zone in the city culture park and in the Sikhov [the biggest residential area in Lviv],” Andriy Sadovy told a news conference.

Concerts of Ukrainian performers are to be held in the fan zones along with big-screen broadcasts of the matches, he added.

As Sadovy noted, the city's authorities invited experts from Austria to design and organize the fan zones, Kyiv Post reported.
