Russian State Duma chairman, Yedinaya Rossiya (United Russia) faction leader Boris Gryzlov stressed the importance of the victory of Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and Yedinaya Rossiya at oncoming parliamentary elections in both countries.

“Continuation of current policy line is essential to stable development of Armenia and Russia,” Armenian MP Gagik Melikyan cited Gryzlov as saying.

Earlier, Gagik Melikyan and Gagik Minasyan represented RPA at Yedinaya Rossiya’s meeting.

At the meeting with Gryzlov, RPA members discussed Armenia-Russian cooperation in CIS and CSTO framework, as well as Nagorno Karbakh conflict settlement. The State Duma chairman specifically stressed Serzh Sargsyan’s contribution to the development of ties with Armenia, also sharing memories of their long long-term friendship.
