Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman reiterated Moscow's support for OSCE Minsk Group as an optimal format for Karabakh settlement.
At Moscow-hosted briefing, Alexander Lukashevich commented on Azeri journalist's statement on Armenia's non-fulfillment of UN Security Council resolution on Karabakh.
“NATO General Assembly resolutions are advisory in nature. OSCE MG, rather than UN, is a structure in charge of Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. Now, with a protracted conflict, one cannot hope for fast and easy solutions,” the spokesman stressed.
“However, Russia, along with other OSCE MG co-chairs, will take every possible effort to expedite finalization of Karabakh settlement principles,” he said, Russian Foreign Ministry official website reported.
