ANC to start open-air news conference at Liberty Square

Yet another rally of Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc launched in Yerevan with an open-air news conference to be organized on rally sidelines.

According to Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper editor-in-chief Nikol Pashinyan, approx. 400 questions have already been submitted.

During his opening speech, Pashinyan urged opposition supporters to establish a watch group next to demonstrators’ tents to rule out possible provocations.

At Sept 30 rally, ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrossian announced the launch of round-the-clock protest actions, with the suggestion supported by demonstrators. The protest actions will last for 7 days. The police formed a human chain around the Liberty Square without preventing demonstrators from entering or leaving.
