Armenia, Kuwait will benefit from Iran-Armenia railroad project - Minister

Kuwait intends to participate in implementation of Armenia’s major infrastructure programs, Kuwait's Minister of Finance said.

As Mustafa Al-Shamali stated at joint news conference with Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan, “we hope Kuwait will become a part of Armenia-implemented programs. Our country believes the sector of transport to be of major importance, with Iran-Armenia railway construction to benefit both Armenia and Kuwait.”

Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister, in turn, noted that beside Iran-Armenia railroad project, Kuwait is interested in North-South expressway construction. In this context, Mr. Gevorgyan expressed confidence that joint projects will allow for increase of Armenia-Kuwait product turnover.

On October 5, Yerevan hosted the 1st sitting of Armenia-Kuwait intergovernmental committee, co-chaired by Mr. Gevorgyan and Mr. Al-Shamali.
