Armenian boxer David Hayrapetyan (49kg) representing Russia at Baku-hosted AIBA World Championships, scored a 15:8 win vs. Spain’s Jose de la Nieve in ¼ finals.

The boxer has gained an entry to London Olympics and stands a chance of winning at least a bronze medal at the Championships.

In October 7 semifinals Hayrapetyan will face off against Zou Shiming of China.
