Yerevan hosted a conference with Macedonia squad coach John Toshack on the eve of Armenia vs. Macedonia UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier.

“I congratulate Armenia team on its victories and strong performance. Armenia’s made significant progress over the time, having scored the highest number of Group B goals. It’s Macedonia’s 3rd match in Armenia, and we’ll try to win again,” the coach said.

“Armenia has a real chance to make it to EURO 2012 finals, similarly to Russia, Slovakia and Ireland. Macedonia’s up for a tough match. Considering the absence of our best forward Goran Pandev, we’re clearly going to have some issues in the offensive line. I wish I had more choice of players right now,” the coach said.

Armenia vs. Macedonia UEFA EURO 2012 Group B qualifier is due October 7, 8 p.m. Yerevan time at Vazgen Sargsyan stadium. Armenia is placed 3rd in Group B with 14 points; Macedonia is 5th with 7 points. The first march between the teams ended in a 2:2 draw.
