Nalbandian to face Murray in 2011 Tokyo Open ¼ finals

Former No.3, David Nalbandian will face off against World No.4, Andy Murray in the quarterfinals of the 2011 Tokyo Open on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 07:30 GMT in the ATP World Tour 500 hard-court being held in Tokyo, Japan.

This will be the fifth encounter between the former top ten players, as the British world No.4 is leading with 3-2 contest against Argentina world No.64, Nalbandian.

Nalbandian who’s got win-loss record of 17-10 this season is still battling to clinch and ATP world tour title in 2011. Argentina No.64 in the world has been out of tennis for a period of 8-weeks this season, due to double surgery on his left leg.

Nalbandian has knocked out Croatian Ivan Dodig in two-set encounter with 7-6(2) 6-2 to set-up a clash against Murray in quarterfinals of the Tokyo Open, Live Tennis Guide reported.
