Next year sees the Olympic Games 2012 head to London. For the athletes, it means lots of training and preparation. For viewers, it’s hopefully a chance to see a few world records broken. For big brands it’s a chance to advertise to the world and sell a lot of extra product.Samsung is looking to take full advantage of the Olympics this time round, and in conjunction with Visa is set to launch an exclusive, and apparently “iconic” Olympic smartphone, Geek.com reported.

With Visa’s involvement, this phone will ship with NFC on board for all important mobile payments.

Though Samsung has not published much information about the handset, it will probably be an Android device based on an existing model, with some clearly visible Olympic and even Visa branding.
