Armenian woman beaten in Turkey

An Armenian woman, whose name is yet kept secret, was assaulted in a district of Istanbul, Turkey.

The woman was severely beaten by a taxi driver, who asked her: “You accent is different. Are you Armenian or Jew?” After the woman said she is Armenian, the driver reacted with verbal and physical abuse and threw her out of the car.

A lawyer, who was passing by took a photo of the woman and the car. Police officers found the owner of the taxi service but did not find the driver, who, according to some sources, is mentally ill.
