Yura Movsisyan: coach never let us loose spirits

Armenia forward Yura Movsisyan shared impressions of the dramatic EURO 2012 qualifier vs. Ireland in a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

“Vardan Minasyan never let us loose spirits. He encouraged the team to double efforts, believing the victory was possible even with a 10-member squad,” he said.

The team returned to Armenia on October 12 after a disputable 2:1 loss vs. hosting Ireland.

“I find it hard to comment on the game; still, although outnumbered by Ireland, we might win. Whatever the outcome of the game, we are more than determined to progress,” the forward said.

Movsisyan wasn't outspoken about referee’s actions. “Red card was mostly a matter of his own choice.”

“We knew our victory would take Armenian football to a new level. Every one of us wished to win. I'm sure we'll have many chances to make our fans proud,” the forward said.
