FFA protests Gonzalez decision in Armenia v Ireland match

On his Facebok page, the President of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA), Ruben Hayrapetyan, thanked all football fans for support of the national team after they suffered a 2-1 highly controversial defeat in the UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier against Ireland.

“I am grateful to and proud of all Armenian fans. We have strong and devoted players, who deserve victories. But football has tough rules. We must never despair but support our wonderful team,” Hayrapetyan posted.

He said the FFA has protested the decision of Iturralde Gonzalez. “I am not concerned whether this botcher will be punished. I want Roman Berezovsky to be cleared of red card,” Hayrapetyan said.

He also noted he doesn’t believe that the UEFA could order the result of the game. “Michel Platini is not the man who could venture such an injustice,” he said.
